Beano Harte Cup
Report 1
I played in a tournament called the Beano Harte. The tournament is in memory of two people, Brian Cullen & Shauna Harte, of the Whitehall GAA Club who unfortunately passed away from cancer. The sport is camogie because they were heavily involved in camogie.
We arrived in Ellenfield at 8:30 to do our face paint and glitter gel. At 9:00 we did the parade and after the tournament started. The other team played first so we cheered them on and they won. Our first match was against Westmanstown and we hammered them. Our next opponents was St. Finian's; they were tough but we won.
The last match was against O'Dwyers. If we win, we go to the final, and we won.
Before our final we went to the clubhouse for lunch before heading back to Ellenfield for our final. Our opponents was Plunketts. We got a point but unfortunately Plunketts got two quick goals and we were down by 5 points. We never gave up though, we got a point and then a goal, we were one point down. In the last minute we won a free. This was the last puck of the game.
Up steps Lucy Noble and scores. It's gone to extra time. We scored 2 goals and won the Beano Harte.

The Beano Harte tournament is an amazing and unforgettable day, and me and my teammates were honoured to compete and win the tournament
The final was a tense and tiring match, but with a last-minute free. As I hit the sliotar, it sailed over the bar to get us into extra time
It was the longest ten minutes of our lives, but in the end we won by seven points.
Overall, it was an amazing day and something I will never forget, and I hope all girls who play the tournament enjoy it as much as we did.
